NERPO's LONG-SERVING PROVINCIAL LEADER PASSES ON.
The National Emergent Red Meat Producers' Organisation (NERPO) has received with shock and sadness, the news of the passing of one of its long-serving member and leader. Mr. Graham Ada (58). Mr. Ada died at his home last Monday after a short illness.
"It is with great sadness to have received the news of the passing Mr. Ada. The late was one of our long-serving, loyal and dedicated servants of the farmers in the Western Cape Province. He played a pivotal role in mobilizing farmers into the fold of NERPO. He has definitely left an indelible mark as a farmer leader in that province and we hope that his fellow farmers have learnt a lot from him" said Dr. Langa Simela, NERPO Chief Executive Officer.
Mr. Ada was also Pastor in his community and has equally served his community with the same commitment and dedication.
"On behalf of the National Executive Council, management and staff of NERPO, I would like to extend our deepest condolences to his family and all those affected" Mahanjana said.
His fellow farmer and Provincial Chairperson of the African Farmers Association of South Africa (AFASA) Mr. Ivan Cloete described him as, "A selfless, loyal and dedicated leader who left no stone unturned in fighting for the rights of his fellow farmers of Jacobsdal for fourteen years with pride and joy. He will be remembered as a great leader who was always prepared to go an extra mile in representing the interests of farmers. He always stood firm in what he believed in and no amount of money can buy the kind of dedication he had to the farming community" he mourned.
